Process & Piping drawings grow from the schematic diagram.
To design process piping, three types of drawings are developed in sequence from schematic diagram (or schematic) prepared by the process engineer
1. Flow Diagram (Process, or Service)
2. Piping and Instrumentation Diagram, or P&ID
3. Piping Drawings
Just remember, The main purpose of a drawing is to communicate information in a simple and explicit way.
Next time, Schematic Diagrams

Great breakdown of the three step process for creating piping drawings. I work with the McGraw Hill Sweets Network, who offers a huge selection of CAD drawings. Check out all of our autocad drawings.
