The Bridge Modeler for Civil 3D 2010 & 2011

June 7, 2010

Do you need to illustrate bridges as part of your civil design? If you find it difficult to create a professional looking bridge with 3D Solids then the Bridge Modeler may be the tool you’re looking for.

The Bridge Modeler is NOT a standard feature from Civil 3D but is a free tool download from Autodesk Labs.

To get started, all you need is a Corridor Region to be replaced by bridge type. You can choose from three different bridge types; Concrete Box Girder, Concrete Slab, and Concrete Slab with Girders followed by special bridge parameters. Prior to creating the bridge, you can validate all design parameters and make final adjustments.

This is a really great tool to check out and if you find it useful then please give the developers feedback. They have been helpful and opened for comments and suggestions to make this program more user friendly and they are hopeful that this could be potential feature to come with your opinion.
