AutoCAD for MAC is BACK!

“Thanksgiving is an emotional holiday. People travel thousands of miles to be with people they only see once a year. And then discover once a year is way too often.” — Johnny Carson

For all you Mac users out there, you have something new to be thankful for…after an almost twenty year hiatus, AutoCAD is once again compatible with Mac! The new compatible version was released in October and is making its way into the mainstream once again. Be aware, though, that not all features are available yet, but rest assured that the program is a MAC application, and does not use a Windows port at all. Music to the ears of many folks who call asking ‘if it’s here yet’!
If you are interested in checking it out, as with all Autodesk products, you can download a free 30-day trial, plus there are some advantages for students and educators as well. Also, and this is pretty cool for all you iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch users, you can review, edit and share files among these devices by downloading AutoCAD WS, which is a free version of AutoCAD specifically designed for use on certain mobile devices. Until next time, take care and have a great Thanksgiving!
