The productivity tools for Civil 3D 2014 was published May 14, 2013.  Some of you might not have known this, that is why I am posting this.

The utilities included in this is as follows:

Cartogramma Utility for AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014

The Cartogramma Utility for AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014 is a graphical representation of earth works in designed area. Locations and quantities of cut and fill areas are precisely determined.

AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014 Extension for Civil View

The AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014 Extension for Civil View is intended to be used in conjunction with the existing Export to Civil View for 3ds Max Design option in AutoCAD Civil 3D and provides the ability to add Civil 3D alignment, profile and pipe network data to your Civil View model in Autodesk 3ds Max Design.

AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014 Import/Export Extension for GENIO

The AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014 Import/Export Extension for GENIO streamlines the migration of data from Bentley® MXROAD® software to AutoCAD Civil 3D software. It also enables customers to use AutoCAD Civil 3D on projects that require Bentley MXROAD format deliverables and/or the use GENIO or binary "modelfile" format as data sources.

Microdrainage WinDes Utility for Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014

The Microdrainage WinDes Utility for Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014 provides the ability for AutoCAD® Civil 3D® Pipe Networks to be renamed and exported to SWS/FWS format for analysis within WinDes System 1 and then imported to update the pipe network in AutoCAD® Civil 3D® to create a 3D model of drainage network as well as product plans, sections and pipe and structure schedules.

Autodesk® Shared Reference Point 2014

The Autodesk® Shared Reference Point 2014 provides functionality to export known points and elevation from AutoCAD Civil 3D to an external file, in which Revit can import and setup a ‘Shared Coordinate System’. This enables the collaboration of exported RVT, DWG and NWC files back to AutoCAD Civil 3D and to coordinate models in Autodesk Navisworks.

Civil 3D Bridge Module Time Out–Download New One From Subscription Center

So the Civil 3D Bridge Module for 2014 has a license check that results in it no longer working after July 1, 2013.

A new build of this can be found on your Subscription site.

AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014 Hotfix 1

Autodesk has released a Hotfix 1 for Civil 3D 2014.  The issues that are resolved are as follows:

Corridor Design

Importing a subassembly to a tool palette when the tool palette is closed no longer causes the application to close unexpectedly.

Closing a drawing while the Corridor Section Editor is open in another drawing no longer causes an error.

Attaching a subassembly to a LinkToMark point no longer causes the application to close unexpectedly.

Importing a subassembly from a file location with a long path no longer causes the application to close unexpectedly.

The CreateBestFitAlignment/Profile command no longer causes the application to close unexpectedly when more than one drawing is open.

Feature Lines

An issue that caused the application to close unexpectedly when creating feature lines from objects has been resolved.

General/Other

  • An issue that caused an error when opening a drawing has been resolved.
  • Stability when adding or editing a point style has been improved.
  • The stability of the ExportToAutocad command has been improved.
  • An issue that caused instability on systems that do not have BIOS serial number information has been resolved.
  • Stability when opening a drawing has been improved.

Parcels

An issue that caused an error when modifying or deleting a parcel segment line has been resolved.

The stability of the Mapcheck command has been improved.

Pressure Networks

An error no longer occurs when running the FollowSurfaceINPV command on a pressure network when there is a pipe crossing a surface gap.

Importing multiple content files in the Content Catalog Editor no longer causes the application to close unexpectedly.

Profiles

An issue that caused the application to close unexpectedly while using the profile layout tool bar has been resolved.

Surface

An issue that caused an error when switching between layouts with the level of detail display enabled has been resolved.

Adding, deleting, and re-adding a point file to a surface definition no longer causes the application to close unexpectedly.

Surface analysis data is now retained as expected after rebuilding the surface.

Survey

The stability of the ImportSurveyData command has been improved.

The stability of the ImportFieldbook command has been improved.

Internal Error When Creating a Survey Database

When creating a new local survey database, you might come across an error stating that it cannot open the shared memory region.

The cause of this seems to be the Windows User Access Control (UAC).  You need to set this to Never Notify…
