AutoCAD Civil 3D 2015 Productivity Pack 1

Autodesk has released it’s Productivity Pack for Civil 3D 2015.  This productivity pack contains the following:

  1. Ability for AutoCAD Civil 3D users to directly read Autodesk InfraWorks models for detailed design / production tasks
  2. Coordinate Geometry Editor utility that provides a streamlined process for point, line, and curve entry and balance
  3. Automated process for creating AutoCAD 3D solids from Civil 3D surface models and pipe networks

Key Features of this Productivity Pack

Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2014 Productivity Pack 1 consists of the following features:

  1. AutoCAD® Civil 3D® Export Drawing – This new utility allows users to export an AutoCAD® Civil 3D® drawing to either Autodesk® AutoCAD® .DWG or MicroStation® .DGN. Users can control the drawing(s) and layout(s) that may be exported as well as how xrefs will be handled.
    a.  AutoCAD Civil 3D model and annotation elements will be converted into basic entities and saved in either .DWG or .DGN format files.
    b.  AutoCAD Layouts can be exported as AutoCAD .DWG format files.
    c.  Users can also opt to export a model space view as well as a selection of layouts to AutoCAD .DWG format files.
  2. Ability to display gravity pipe network parts as true sections (with a sliced appearance) in AutoCAD Civil 3D sections.
  3. Ability to include pressure pipe networks in Autodesk® Vault.
  4. Inclusion of the AutoCAD “Set Location” command in the AutoCAD Civil 3D Toolbox. Note that this command exists natively in AutoCAD Civil 3D but is not exposed in the ribbon. We have added this Toolbox command as a convenience to AutoCAD Civil 3D customers.
